Finding imaginative yet carefully considered solutions. Architecture that delights. Beautifully designed with clarity and purpose. The everyday reimagined.

Our studio enjoys involvement in projects of all different scales and types, each being client focused and context led. Using 3D immersive technology, we encourage our clients to engage in the design dialogue to communicate their aspirations and desires for the project. We have years of big practice experience that drives a pragmatic approach combined with our desire to find imaginative solutions to redefine the everyday and ordinary. This refined approach creates carefully considered solutions with both clarity and beauty.

George Guest ARB

With a career spanning over 14 years prior to co-founding Studio Elephant, George has developed a vast knowlege of projects of all scales and typology, with a particular passion for developing highly creative design solutions to everyday spaces and places in which we inhabit.

Since graduating from Oxford Brookes and the University of Westminster, George has worked for a number of highly regarded architecture studios over his career, starting at Heatherwick Studio working under the world renowned designer Thomas Heatherwick on projects including the Bombay Saphire Distillery and the London 2012 Olympic Cauldron. This led him to join the highly confidential 2012 Opening Ceremony design team alongside Danny Boyle and his 5 trusted film and costume designers to develop the story and set design for the word stage.

George then went on to work for Foster & Partners and Make Architects for 8 years helping to deliver a number of notable projects including The Hiscox Building in York, Swindon Museum and Art Gallery as well as 48 Leicester Square and 5 Broadgate in London before moving to explore the smaller scale side of architecture at Jo Cowen Architects. It was here that his passion for domestic architecture grew, enjoying the intricate detailing possible at this scale and the speed at which projects become reality.

Lara Orska ARB RIBA

Lara enjoys finding imaginative and pragmatic design solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of our clients, making every project unique and personal. As well as being client focused, Lara feels it is important that our designs are site specific and sustainable, responding to the local environment in materiality, scale and embracing natural light. Her interest in sustainable design began during her thesis on living building materials whilst studying at Cambridge University and has continued throughout her career in Architecture.

Lara co-founded Studio Elephant following eight years at Make Architects, where she worked on a range of projects varying in scale and style, from high-tech workplaces in Shoreditch and Westminster, to sweeping weathered steel bridges in the City of London. It was whilst working at Make that she gained vast experience in landscape design, interiors and worked closely with consultants to deliver high quality coordinated designs. Working closely as a team both with our clients and consultants is a key value we bring to every project at Studio Elephant.
