The brief for this amazing project in Wandsworth was to deal with the very low ceiling heights at lower ground and create an open plan kitchen, living, dining and aquarium space as the family hub of the house. The ground floor is also fully refurbished to create a kids playroom, study, WC and living room with a connection to the garden. We proposed connecting the two floor levels with the garden through a meandering green external staircase, linking the courtyard and lower ground floor, the sun terrace at ground floor and the contemporary garden to the rear.

Internally a light palette of natural materials is used to enhance the feeling of light, tall space, connected to the ground floor through a new light oak clad staircase.
